Dearest readers,
It is with the utmost delight that I recount the recent nuptials of Miss Megan and Mr. John, held in the idyllic setting of Lake Lure, North Carolina. This occasion, much anticipated by society, did not fail to live up to its lofty expectations. Indeed, it was a day replete with beauty, emotion, and no small amount of elegance.

I first “met” Michaela back in January to talk with her about her wedding. I like to do a video call or in person meet up with potential brides so we can get to know each other a little better, and I just find that is easier to do when we can actually look at each other and chat! I also really want and love to hear about people’s love stories –
You’ve spent hours looking at photos online of wedding dresses, and perhaps even spent hours trying them on. Okay, maybe that’s a little bit of an exaggeration, but regardless, you’ve spent a good amount of time finding the perfect dress for your wedding day. And once you find it, music swells, eyes fill with tears, and someone pops the bubbly! (Anyone ever watch “Say Yes to the Dress”??)
I woke up the morning of August 12 and thought, “It’s wedding day for Jamie and Kelly!” I got out of bed to make some coffee, then looked outside – it was pouring rain and storming. I checked the weather app on my phone and breathed a sigh of relief because it showed that the rain and storm were supposed to clear out by the time of the wedding. Whew!
