Motherhood isn't glamorous. It's messy, raw, chaotic, and exhausting. Being a mother can stretch you to your limits sometimes, but it also reveals a strength you didn't know you had. It's a sacred, holy calling and a gift.
And it's full of beautiful moments that make you catch your breath and cry; fleeting moments that you wish you could hold onto forever. I'm here to help you do just that through photos that you can feel, and that take you back to that moment.

The girl behind the lens
I am a wife and have been married for 8 years, and we have two children, a boy and a girl. When I’m not behind the lens, you can find me with a coffee in hand, probably listening to a true crime podcast or getting lost in a good book—because every mom needs a little escape now and then! I’m also a huge fan of outdoor adventures, whether it’s hiking through the woods or traveling to and exploring new places.
But above all, my greatest joy comes from the Lord and spending time with my family. They are the most precious gift and one I waited a long time for; they are a huge part of why I do and love photography. I believe that God has blessed me with them in ways I never want to take for granted.
Why is photography so important
After having my son, I became increasingly aware of time and how fleeting it is. I wanted to hold onto those memories of the newborn stage, then the stage where their personality starts to shine through, then when they start to walk and explore their world. It's why we moms have thousands of photos on our phone. Because we want to remember. Because our memories do fade with time, but if we look at a photo, it can take us right back to that moment and that feeling. I want to give that to you, but with YOU in the photos too. Because these photos aren't just for you; they're for your children to hold onto the memories they have with you one day.
I believe God has blessed me with this gift and passion to serve my own family and others. It's why I take this seriously and strive to make sure that you are well cared for. I pray for every session that I can serve you and love you like Christ, and that I will tell your family's story well. I pray to Him for His protection over your pregnancy, delivery, the baby, and your family.

Lindsay is absolutely amazing and talented from start to finish! She was happy to give feedback about wardrobe choices in advance. She really knows how to get the little ones excited and in a good mood. She listens to what you are wanting and never makes you feel rushed. Highly recommend her for all your photography needs… You will NOT be disappointed.
Family
Derek is the one who holds our family together; he's our leader and provider, and he loves us well. He's such a hard worker and sacrifices his time to serve not just us, but other people. He's my biggest supporter and encourager, and I am so thankful for him.
We met at seminary in New Orleans, and I quickly learned how good of a heart he has. He's not perfect, but he truly is the man of my dreams and a man after God's heart! {Y'all he often does the laundry, dishes, and cleaning without me saying anything! I've got a keeper for sure!}
He's actually 7 years younger than me, something he likes to tease me about. But it works and I'm so glad that I waited for him. If you'd like to learn more about our love story, I wrote all about it here.

Rowan is our first born, the one who made me a mama! If you were to ask him what he wanted to be when he grows up, he would shout, "MONSTER TRUCK DRIVER!" He's only a little obsessed with them.
Rowan is full of energy, as all little boys are. He's outgoing and never meets a stranger. He's just like me in many ways {poor fella!}, and he has the BEST smile. He loves to entertain and is always making us laugh. He brings so much joy to our family!
He loves school, playing with his sister, playing catch and dodgeball, and UNO {though he is quite competitive - something he gets from his mom.}

Raelynn is our sweet, beautiful little girl. She can be a little sassy sometimes, and she can be shy around new people. But she warms up pretty quickly.
If you ask her name, she will proudly tell you that it's "Rae Rae Elise". Rae Rae is our nickname for her, so I guess she thinks that is her actual name. She is our cuddly one and loves to snuggle up and watch a movie or read a book with us.
Rae Rae loves school too, playing with her "babies" (stuffed animals), playing monster trucks with her best friend, Rowan, and also playing UNO {she wants everyone else to win though.}
