Why I Recommend a Bridal Session Before the Wedding Day

You’ve spent hours looking at photos online of wedding dresses, and perhaps even spent hours trying them on. Okay, maybe that’s a little bit of an exaggeration, but regardless, you’ve spent a good amount of time finding the perfect dress for your wedding day. And once you find it, music swells, eyes fill with tears, and someone pops the bubbly! (Anyone ever watch “Say Yes to the Dress”??)

Jamie + Kelly: A Treemont Mansion Wedding

I woke up the morning of August 12 and thought, “It’s wedding day for Jamie and Kelly!” I got out of bed to make some coffee, then looked outside – it was pouring rain and storming. I checked the weather app on my phone and breathed a sigh of relief because it showed that the rain and storm were supposed to clear out by the time of the wedding. Whew!

I first met Jamie and Kelly via a Zoom call where I got to know them and hear all about how they met and their love story which led to the most magical proposal! I was trying not to tear up as she was talking about it. I’m a sucker for a good love story. 🙂
